Norwich, July 5, 2016 –Snelling Business Systems are supporting Operation Norfolk Remembers, an initiative spearheaded by the Army to build a digital legacy honouring the sacrifices of many men, and ensure they are remembered by the future generations.
100 years after the Battle of the Somme, members of the public will visit each of the estimated 800 war memorials in the county, and share photos to be displayed live on a big screen in Norwich, and added to an online database.
Research into the memorials, and efforts to restore them, will culminate on Saturday, July 9, when people will submit photos of themselves with the monuments. Led by R.C. Snelling Charitable Trust, Snelling Business Systems will provide a large outdoor LED screen for these images to be displayed live in Norwich, as well as on the 100” screens being installed into the Libraries in Kings Lynn & Great Yarmouth.
Jack Wilders, Key Account Manager, says “Snelling Business Systems believe the purpose of audio visual systems lie in engaging audiences and providing ways for people to consume and share information. Operation Norfolk Remembers is a strong example of the same, and it is entirely our privilege to be able to contribute our part to this community-wide movement”.
