Each year at the staff AGM, the team at Snelling vote for their nominated Charity of the year. “It’s an important part of our culture and ethos”, explained Stephen French, Snelling’s Technical Support and the Employee Elected Trustee on the Trustee Board of the R C Snelling Charitable Trust, the Charity organisation which Snelling belongs to.

“Each team member is allocated a sum of money by the Trust and we listen to 3 selected charities, who tell us about the good work which they do. After the presentations each of us allocate the money to our chosen charities and we vote on which charity should then become our Charity of the Year. Throughout the year our teams will undertake a range of sponsored activities to help raise funds for our chosen charity. The Trust then match funds the money which we have raised for our charity. This year we have chosen Finnbar’s Force, a charity which is a dedicated children’s cancer charity. So far we have raised £9,000 and we’re looking to support this charity with our fundraising throughout the year.
