Snelling is a leading and internationally award winning UK audio-visual (AV) systems integrator and global provider of integrated AV and communications technology. We design, integrate, install, manage and maintain high-performance audio-visual systems and technology environments that help organisations communicate, collaborate and engage more effectively.
Our heritage dates back to 1954, when Roy Snelling founded the business, initially selling and servicing television and radio equipment during the early years of mass broadcasting.
He witnessed at first-hand a remarkable transformation in the way technology changed how people accessed information, communicated and engaged with the world around them. As television and radio became part of everyday life, they created entirely new ways for people to interact, share ideas and consume information.
More than 70 years later, that same principle remains at the heart of what we do.
Today, modern audio-visual and communications technologies are transforming how people connect, collaborate, teach, learn, work and engage with audiences. Our role is to harness the potential of these technologies to create integrated AV environments that are intuitive, reliable and designed around the people who use them.

As part of one of the world’s largest and most comprehensive professional AV/IT integration networks, we have the capability to coordinate and deliver complex audio-visual projects across multiple locations and international markets, while maintaining consistent standards of design, integration, deployment and support.
Our services cover the complete AV system lifecycle, including technology consultancy, system design and engineering, equipment supply, installation, programming, integration, commissioning, project management and on-going maintenance and support. We also provide managed services and embedded technical personnel to help organisations manage and optimise their AV technology environments.
Our portfolio includes complex and large-scale AV integration projects for clients in the UK and around the world. WATCH OUR JOURNEY
Roy Snelling did more than simply start a business. He dedicated much of his life to building a highly successful group of companies spanning professional audio-visual technology and consumer electronics.
After serving during the Second World War with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME), where he trained radio mechanics across the country, Roy returned to Norfolk and began building his business from a redundant Victorian laundry at Blofield Heath.
From these modest beginnings, the Snelling name grew to become synonymous with expertise, innovation and service across the rapidly evolving worlds of television, radio, consumer electronics and professional audio-visual technology.

Because Snelling is owned by a Charitable Trust, we differ from our competitors in that we do not have any shareholders who are looking for a return on their investment. This means that we can take long term decisions, which ultimately are in the best interests of our clients. Many of our colleagues have been a part of the Snellings team for over 10 years, partly because they appreciate that what they do is always in the best interests of our clients, rather than shareholders.
