Divisible Space for Live Events and Collaboration
The client brief specified secure, virtual collaboration infrastructure for one large space – divisible when required for small groups or to run concurrent programs simultaneously.
The primary use of the space is for Code Club and Raspberry Jam attended by children, which demands a simple yet robust solution. One end can also be used as a boardroom for general meetings using Google Hangout hardware.
The whole space also functions as a single, large live-conferencing venue for large gatherings and all-staff meetings connecting UK and international Raspberry Pi Foundation sites.
AV INFRASTRUCTURE
The divisible room is equipped to function as one large space or two independently operable spaces as required.
Visual:
- 4x 75” Sony 4K UHD Large Format Display with video scaling for non-HD or 4K devices.
- Custom Screen mounts to allow flush, floating appearance across the alcoves.
- Custom camera mount located in between the displays.
Audio: separate audio systems for more natural sound (wall speakers for presentation sound, and ultra-wide dispersion speakers for audio conferencing)
- 2x Shure MXA910W Ceiling Array Microphone with Shure® Intellimix® DSP
- QSC Q-SYS™ Core 110f unified services core processor
- Crestron AMP-2100 Dual-Channel Modular Power Amplifier
- TOA full range ceiling speakers
- QSC 5 Inch Two-Way Surface Speaker and amplifier system.
- Audio Technica Digital Wireless Microphones
Inputs:
- 2x Google Hangout NUCs with cameras and controllers for audio and video capture.
- 2x Barco ClickShare wireless presentation systems.
- 4x Local HDMI over DM Inputs
- 2x Logitech PTZ Controllers
Switching, Distribution & Control:
- 2x Crestron 7” touchpanels with branded GUI
- 1x Crestron CP3 Control Processor, and 16X16 Digitalmedia™ Switcher.
- 2x Crestron 4K Digital Media dual input transmitters.
- 4x Crestron 4K DigitalMedia 8G+® Receiver & Room Controller w/Scaler
- 1x Cisco 10-Port Gigabit PoE+ Managed Switch
- CAT7 installed infrastructure with contingency to manufacturer recommendations
