AV Systems deliver a wide range of public events in a curved auditorium?
The Curve is Norwich’s first purpose-built auditorium and an addition to conference facilities at The Forum building, which is now a landmark in Norwich.
Purpose-built, with tiered seating for 120 people, the auditorium has been designed to host a diverse range of events from sophisticated multi-media presentations to debates and performances.
The brief necessitated a system capable of delivering all multi-media requirements of the space but is operationally straightforward to use.
We designed and commissioned the FHD screen projection system for 144 inches of industry-benchmark projection quality, complemented by a high quality sound system and broadcast-grade microphones.
The Curve is also equipped with full HD technology and broadcast quality microphones, video conferencing, live TV and web streaming capabilities for flexible presentations, debates, performances and screening applications.
Further to the brief, the AV system also incorporates full video and teleconferencing facilities, with live internet streaming capability.
Keeping the applications of the space in mind, overhead projection and a desktop visualiser was integrated and the auditorium was fitted with adaptable lighting and ambience, featuring state-of-the-art LED technology.
The presentation lectern features FHD presentation, with PC and BluRay DVD playback and confidence monitors (placed in front of presenters to view what is on the main projection screen without facing away from the audience.
All design work, planning, engineering, installation and programming was conducted in-house by Snelling Business Systems and the project was delivered within budget and on time.
