On Friday 4th March, Morston Assets hosted a sparkling champagne reception to launch their business networking facility in King's Lynn - 'Yours Networks'.
The building was officially opened by Henry Bellingham MP and Under Secretary of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. There followed presentations by John Marshall, from UK Trade & Industry and Dr Kevan Williams, of the Norwich Business School, who spoke live via video link from his base at the University of East Anglia.
Located in the heart of King's Lynn, the centre has been created within one of the stunning period properties edging the town's historic market place. The refurbishment has created a contemporary and vibrant business hub, featuring meeting rooms and conference suites equipped with state-of-the-art HD video conferencing, as well as exclusive private office space.
Begun in 2010, the project has resulted in the total refurbishment of the previously derelict heritage building. In September 2010, Snelling Business Systems were appointed to install the audio visual requirements for the buildings cutting edge conference and meeting space. This included extensive dual screen video conferencing solutions enhanced by a custom teammate executive dual screen video conference system, in each of the meeting rooms as well as the business lounge.

Yours Networks has been created to give businesses the accessibility to superior quality conferencing facilities, in order to create links with both national and international markets without the need to leave the office. As the national network of Yours Networks grows, so will the structure and accessibility. The King's Lynn centre is one of the first in a planned complex up and down the UK, which is already underway in Nantwich and Gateshead, and plans are in place to begin the Staffordshire and Scotland networks in 2012.
This new concept forms an essential element of the Yours Communities initiative. Pioneered by Morston Asssets, the scheme focuses on the development of large regeneration projects which combine sustainable building methods with close attention to how communities function.
The Yours Networks building in King's Lynn is now officially open and welcomes businesses from across West Norfolk who would like to further their national and international networks.
