Snelling Business Systems is delighted to announce that they have been accepted into the exclusive Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC).
The national audio visual specialists are now included on the suppliers list for the SUPC members, which will see them tendering for some of the biggest higher and further education AV installations both in the South of England and nationally.
The SUPC lets and manages framework agreements on behalf of its member colleges and universities across the south of England and, established in 1974, is now the largest of six higher and further education regional purchasing consortia in the UK. It has a membership of over one hundred higher and further education institutions and offers its members a wide range of collaborative purchase agreements covering most commodity areas. By collaborating with the other regional purchasing consortia, the SUPC framework also gives suppliers the opportunity to tender for contracts outside the South of England region.
The application for supplier status is a rigorous tendering procedure which can last many months but once accepted into the consortium, companies remain on the framework for a minimum of three years. For Snelling Business Systems, therefore, the positive announcement heralds the start of an exciting new chapter in the company's development.
Toby Wise, Managing Director, said :
"We are delighted to have been accepted onto the Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium. AV installations for higher education is an area in which we have already had a great deal of success elsewhere in the country in recent months, securing contracts with Anglia Ruskin University, the University of East Anglia and INTO study centres in universities across the UK and Ireland, and is a branch of our business which we would like to develop further. We are confident that inclusion in the framework will give us that opportunity."
The announcement further consolidates the reputation Snelling Business Systems is building as experts in AV installations for higher and further education. They were recently shortlisted for a prestigious AV Award for Education Project Of The Year Over £50,000 for their work on The Thomas Paine Study Centre, at the University of East Anglia and they have also just secured further AV installations for a number of further and higher education facilities across the UK.
