May 2010 was a busy month for Snelling Business Systems, not least because they once again sponsored the SCHOMS Spring Conference.
The Standing Conference for Heads of Media Services (SCHOMS) is the professional body for heads of services working within UK Higher Education. Its members lead and manage a diverse set of educational, media and institutional support services. The annual conference, held in Spring, this year took place in the heart of historic Greenwich within the Queen Mary Undercroft at the University of Greenwich on 12th, 13th and 14th May.
The event was extremely well attended by SCHOMS members from universities across England, Wales and Scotland, and overseas. In addition to enjoying talks from guest speakers and a variety of interactive sessions during the three day event, attending delegates were given ample time to browse the sponsors' exhibition stands. There were also opportunities to network with the thirty gold, silver and bronze level sponsors, including world-renowned household names such as Bose, Sony and Panasonic.
Snelling Business Systems were this year one of just nine gold level sponsors and their interactive stand delivered their clear message - 'Audio visual excellence. Operational simplicity'. They were able to showcase IP Streaming and virtual matrix Technology. In addition to the networking during the course of the day, they were also invited to join the SCHOMS delegates for their gala dinner, where they enjoyed the good food and wine, as well as the conversation with an international crowd.
Toby Wise, Managing Director of Snelling Business Systems, said :
"Since founding Snelling Business Systems, we are extremely proud to have worked with a number of education providers. For example, in 2009 we completed the project to design, supply, install and maintain the AV facilities for the University of East Anglia's Thomas Payne Study Centre, which has set new benchmarks for the UEA, both for the teacher and student experience and for management solutions, in terms of reporting and evaluation. We have also recently won the tender to deliver the AV requirements for the Anglia Ruskin University new Postgraduate Medical Institute.
We sponsored the SCHOMS conference for the first time last year and we found it an invaluable opportunity to meet key decision makers within educational institutions across the UK. We are delighted that this year's event has been equally valuable in terms of presenting our services to SCHOMS members."
Snelling Business Systems also used the conference to launch their new brochure, which outlines the outstanding services offered by the company, from design, supply, installation and management of integrated AV equipment. In addition, the brochures feature a unique graphical depiction of the AV design and delivery process, giving readers a step-by-step flowchart-style guide to the trademark Snelling Business Systems service.
