Snelling Business Systems is delighted to announce that they have been shortlisted for a prestigious AV Award for the second year running.
The national audio visual specialists, join internationally recognized names such as Sony, Hitachi, Epson and Casio, along with 45 other specialists in this year's line-up for the AV Awards 2010.
The AV Awards are the most important awards in the UK for the professional audio-visual industry and have reported a record year for entries for 2010. Hosted by AV Interactive Magazine, the awards recognize excellence in a number of areas including resilience in the face of a challenging global economy, remarkable innovation, new technology or new uses of existing technology. Manufacturers from all over the world can enter and the awards are independently judged.
Snelling Business Systems is delighted to have been shortlisted for one of the Award's new categories this year - Education Project Of The Year Over £50,000 - for their work on The Thomas Paine Study Centre, at the University of East Anglia. They were appointed in December 2008, to design, supply, install and maintain the AV facilities for the new centre and completed the work in November 2009, on time and within budget.
The project included the University's flagship lecture theatre which features rich media web streaming and recording, high definition projection, the UK's largest Supernova Infinity optical screen, 4kw THX certified surround sound, fibre optic video distribution, LED lighting, and touch screen control systems. In addition, the building features a campus helpdesk with remote support, sustainable control and monitoring, comprehensive digital signage, content relay systems, video conferencing, as well as multiple seminar rooms with unified controls, multiple displays, and interactive presentation technologies.
