Snelling Business Systems is delighted to announce that they have fulfilled a contract to install the audio visual requirements for a cutting-edge new business centre for Bournemouth University.
The Executive Business Centre is a seven-storey new building located in the heart of Bournemouth, on the Lansdowne Campus. The contemporary construction offers the latest in business accommodation spread over seven floors, comprising a ground floor with cafe, restaurant facilities and internet area, a bold new paperless 'i-Floor' on the first floor, two education floors on the second and third floors, staff offices and research on the fourth and fifth floors and an Executive Briefing Centre on the 6th floor, with the seventh floor being used exclusively for the Bournemouth MBA.
The aim of the new building was to create a home to the Business School's postgraduate and professional courses in Business and Management, Finance, Law and The Bournemouth MBA. In addition, the goal was to establish a centre that would increase the opportunities for engagement with the business community, embodying the university's goal to deliver academic excellence and a Business School of truly international standing.
Snelling Business Systems were awarded the contract to install the state-of-the-art audio visual requirements for the Executive Briefing Centre on the 6th Floor of the building, through the Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium, where they are top ranked supplier.
The main focus for Snelling Business Systems was the audio visual requirements for the Conference Room, where they fitted a 65" high definition LCD screen, video conferencing, digital and analogue connectivity, wireless touch panel control and sensor controlled automatic lighting.
The project also consisted of two additional suites, The Meeting Room and The Creative Lounge. The Meeting Room was installed with a 52" high definition LCD screen, wireless touch panel control, digital and analogue connectivity and sensor controlled automatic lighting. The Creative Lounge was also fitted with a 52" high definition LCD screen, digital and analogue connectivity and bespoke TeamMate furniture. Completing the installation is a fully integrated signage system.
The entire system also benefits from Web-based remote power and device control with scheduling to save energy and thus make the building more environmentally friendly.

Bournemouth University's Executive Business Centre is due to be opened on 6th September 2011.
