Following the shock announcement that Sanyo as a brand will cease to exist in the first half of 2012, national audio visual specialists, Snelling Business Systems are looking forward to a bright future for Panasonic.
Both Panasonic and Sanyo were started by the same Japanese family; Konosuke Matsushita (founder of Panasonic) and his brother in law Toshio Iue worked together in the National Panasonic Building for 28 years until events at the end of WW2 forced them, against their wishes, to part company. It was at this time that Toshio Iue founded Sanyo, since which time, the relationship has gone full circle, with Panasonic's acquisition of Sanyo in 2008.

Snelling Business Systems conclude that whilst the initial shock of the announcements has caused concern, they are confident that the industry can expect some real innovation to come from the merger of these two projector power houses - and that can only be good for business.
