On 10th May this year, Snelling Business Systems joined 26 other teams on Oulton Broad to battle it out at The East Anglian Dragon Boat Race.
The weather could not have been more perfect for the occasion and the blazing sunshine also encouraged a huge crowd of spectators and supporters.
The races were held to raise much needed funds for East Anglia's Children's Hospices and despite the current economic climate, a staggering £15,000 was raised.
The Snelling Business Systems boat was crewed by rowers Toby Wise, Damian McKenna, Josh Cowling, Matthew Loveridge, Steve Royans, Richard Burgess, Tristan Boler, Paul Turner, Ian Sadler, Jim Lovett and skippered by Paul Buttinger. Despite their outstanding performance, winning their first two races, the hot weather and exhaustion got the better of them in the final race and overall they finished mid table. The event was won by Fishes Hotel, who clocked an incredible time of 58.74 seconds.

Snelling Business Systems, which boasts 'Audio Visual excellence and operational simplicity', is part of the Snellings Group, which was established in 1954 at Blofield Heath, where they are still based today. They have been designing and installing AV systems for over 10 years and were Highly Commended at the 2009 AV Awards.
