BACKGROUND
In 2009, following another bumper season, Potters Leisure Resort commenced work on the latest addition to their extensive facilities - a two storey state-of-the art multi functional hospitality venue.
Styled around a centre-piece 'pyramid' framework, reclaimed from a local landmark known as 'Charlie Chalks', the new venue has been christened 'Zest'. It features a suite of inter-connected rooms boasting panoramic views across the east coast, which are perfect for corporate events, conferences, hospitality and exhibitions, accommodating from 60 to over 280 people.
In addition, 'Zest' features the latest technology, with state-of-the art AV systems designed and installed by Snelling Business Systems.
AIMS OF THE PROJECT
The addition of the new conference space was designed to allow Potters Leisure Resort to expand into the corporate hospitality and private function market.
The £2.5 million investment was project managed by Jane Potter, who was responsible for the venue's design and construction.
Appointed to design and install the audio visual requirements for the project, Snelling Business Systems worked hand-in-hand with Potters technical team to ensure that their vision for the space was realised and that the high levels of service, quality and facilities, for which Potters already has an enviable reputation, were fully reflected in the build.
TECHNICAL SOLUTION
Snelling Business Systems commissioned 3 state-of-the art full HD projection systems along with a number of full HD commercial plasma screens enhanced by a modular Cat5 32x16 audio visual matrix and Four AMX control systems.
During the construction, over 48.5 miles of internal cable was laid and the project was delivered on time and within budget.
Jane Potter said :
"We are immensely proud of what we've created. It really is a top class venue, unrivalled in the region, particularly in terms of design, facilities and technical capability."
