BACKGROUND
Established in 1995, Cheval Property Finance Plc is one of the UK market leaders in the bridging finance market.
The company prides itself on its expertise in the provision of short term loans and they specialise in offering superlative service, with outstanding response times to expedite loan provision.
Due to growth, the company relocated to their current offices in Victoria House in Watford, Hertfordshire. As part of the move, Cheval sought to improve employee communications and approached Snelling Business Systems to harness the latest in audio visual technology to realise that goal.
AIMS OF THE PROJECT
As the first bridging finance lender to become a full member of the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) and a founder member of the Association of Short Term Lenders, Cheval is a market leader in the bridging finance market. It was therefore important that the new offices adequately reflected this pioneering approach,
With employee communications at the heart of their success, it was also vital that they remained effective in internally communicating up to date market news together with information on call rates and business targets.
Snelling Business Systems was approached to design and install an integrated system, for the boardroom, two training rooms and a meeting room. In addition, they were asked to deliver the requirements for an innovative digital signage solution for Cheval's new call centre.
TECHNICAL SOLUTION
The boardroom was fitted with a Custom recessed commercial HD plasma display,
Polycom video and voice conferencing, as well as a Middle Atlantic millwork rack enclosure.
Each of the two training rooms was equipped with ceiling mounted projection equipment and wall mounted electric screens, complemented by company branded custom metal lecterns.
The meeting room was fitted with an LCD screen on a custom column mount, with inputs for PC and laptop use, whilst the delivery of the signage system was met with the fitting of commercial plasma displays, mounted on custom column mountings. Cat5 signal distribution equipment was installed along with a ONELAN digital signage server, which interfaces with the call centre system.
The installation was completed on time and within budget, since which time Cheval has reported an increase in staff motivation through the use of the ONELAN digital signage.
Russell Chesler, IT Systems Manager for Cheval commented: "digital signage fits in with our desire to be at the cutting edge of information technology in our industry."
Steve Royans, Sales Manager for Snelling Business Systems said, "We are delighted that the AV solutions for the integrated signage and meeting rooms has been so well received. We were aware that the installation would result in reduced travel expenses and support faster decision making, so we are obviously extremely pleased that this has been in evidence so soon after the completion of the project."
