Snelling museum

A TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE...

For anyone who is intrigued by technology or mesmerized by nostalgia, a visit to our museum is not to be missed.

Located in our new building in Norwich, the museum really is a wonderful step back in time, displaying over 100 radio and TV products from down the decades.

All have been collected and where necessary lovingly-restored by a small team of retired Snelling engineers to ensure the history of TV and Radio is shared and celebrated rather than forgotten - that is why admission is free of charge to everyone.

Most of the exhibits are from British manufacturers, with a few American and one or two Japanese, where they have invented a product such as VHS and Beta Video recorders.

EDUCATIONAL VISITS AVAILABLE...

We are keen to see that as many people as possible within our community get to witness the delights of our museum - from the youngest to the eldest.

If you have a school, college or interest group who'd like to visit, simply email us to arrange a date and time.

Just to reiterate, there is no charge for visiting our museum of TV and Radio.

Feature items include a real working Crystal set wireless, the first Ekco portable TV (you won't believe the size or weight of it) and some amazing advertising signs from way back.

The Museum is not permanently staffed therefore to avoid disappointment please call Phillip Buttinger on 01603 711111 (Tuesdays) or email museum@snellings.co.uk who will then arrange to show you round.
